The NBD store was developed as a third-semester retail studio project for First Canadian Place Tower. The concept offers clothing, accessories and a limited selection of shoes and bags within an inclusive, mid-range shopping environment. Aida collaborated with Poliya Takmiliyan, producing the 3D modeling and rendering and contributing to space planning and design development. The work explores the brand idea of No Border Design through the store’s interior.
Neutral colors avoid assigning a gendered identity to the space, while curved fixtures, furniture and partitions express continuity and the idea of infinity. The design aims to welcome people with different needs, cultures and identities through a shared retail environment. Floor and reflected ceiling plans organize the proposal, with sections and an elevation describing its spatial relationships. Entrance, interior and counter/display renderings communicate the customer-facing spaces.
Aida created the 3D models and renderings and contributed to space planning and design development alongside Poliya Takmiliyan.
Curved lines in the fixtures, furniture and partitions express the brand’s concept of infinity and a shopping environment without boundaries.
The portfolio includes a floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, sections, an elevation, and rendered views of the entrance, interior and counter/display area.
